Correction: No, not to anything I’ve written but to thewrapping paper for the Sun you must slog through every day. The Review-Journal opinion folks were in their usual high dudgeon over the budget cuts this week, praising their man in the governor’s mansion and raising the possibility he might have to cut state worker salaries. The R-J didn’t have the numbers quite right, but that’s minor. The main error was one of omission, and a whopper: The governor cannot cut those salaries without a special session what you might call an important fact. The R-J makes it sound as simple as announcing the raises are gone for the government workers it loves to hate. But they’re not. As for a special session, I welcome them on that bandwagon.
