I have become completely disillusioned about what is happening to our nation’s public school system.
It is my understanding the United States now trails quite a few nations in graduation rates. Not too many years ago the United States led the world in this category. Also, our national ranking of math students is now surpassed by many developed countries.
If Sen. John McCain becomes president, and hopefully he does, I hope he makes this matter one of his top priorities. I would not consider making a similar request to Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama should either become president, as I really believe it would fall on deaf ears.
My belief is that the Democratic Party, which we all know is now controlled by the liberal left, is in lockstep with the National Education Association and because of party vote pandering it has had a direct effect on the drastic decline in many areas of our school system.
