Letter to the editor:

We need to know more about Obama

I believe it is in the national interest that we know as much as we can about each and every candidate running for the presidency.

Therefore I believe that every newspaper should be encouraging and supporting additional Democratic debates.

The facts are that most voters know Hillary Clinton, yet the same cannot be said about Barack Obama. Most of his early victories were due to enthusiasm and the embracing of his message of changing the direction of the country.

I would like to bet that early voters and caucusgoers might vote differently now if they were able to. It’s in the country’s best interest, then, to learn more about him. It’s also to our advantage as voters to have Florida and Michigan participate.

No one can tell for sure how those states would vote, yet it is better to have more than less unless and here is where credibility is at stake Obama is attempting to slip by as a candidate without further scrutiny.

Another debate is far more valuable then spending millions on advertising both good and bad.
