Las Vegas area full of reckless drivers

My wife and I just completed a three-week trip visiting family and friends. We drove through the Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Seattle metro areas twice each, always avoiding rush-hour traffic.

Sad to say, driving U.S. 93-95 in the Las Vegas metro area was far worse than navigating any of the other metro areas. I am not referring to design or to traffic flow but rather to young men in pickups or SUVs who have a total disregard for any other drivers with whom they share the road.

We witnessed several instances of two-lane changes involving high rates of speed and very little maneuvering room. We were doing the legal speed limit of 65 mph while constantly trying to avoid being run over.

You drivers out there know who you are, and I hope you can think about other people’s lives besides your own.
