Sen. John McCain is trying to scare us by claiming Sen. Barack Obama will raise our taxes and increase government spending. He’s counting on our being stupid enough not to realize that it is Congress that passes tax laws, and it is Congress that passes the federal budget and other appropriations.
A president is limited to approving lawmakers’ bills or vetoing them. You would think that after 22 years in the military, and 30 years in Congress, McCain would know a president’s limitations. Or could it be that he is lying to us to get elected? You think?
