Man found dead in townhouse fire

Authorities have identified a 21-year-old man who died Sunday in a townhouse fire in western Las Vegas.

Markus Trischler, Las Vegas, was found dead after Las Vegas Fire Department units fought a townhouse fire near Durango Drive and Gowen Road.

The Clark County coroner's office said the cause of death was carbon monoxide intoxication.

Firefighters arrived at the townhome at 8465 Vast Horizon, Ave., about 8 a.m. Sunday, said Tim Szymanski, spokesman for the Las Vegas Fire Department.

Estimated damage to the home is $5,000, Szymanski said.
