Wildlife would adapt to wind turbines

Regarding the Las Vegas Sun’s Saturday story headlined “But turbines would scare off the deer, elk ... Grand vision of green Lincoln County runs into hunter opposition”:

It could be the deer and the elk would shy away from the towers — at first. But over time they would become accustomed to the towers.

If people will remember the fuss that was raised about the Alaska pipeline, almost the same thing was said (it would stop the caribou migration). Did they stop? Yes, for a while, until they got used to it.
