Police looking for person who shot man in head

Metro Police detectives are asking for the public's help in trying to find out who shot a man in the head who was found early Monday morning in eastern Las Vegas.

Officers said the man, who is in his 30s, was discovered with the head wound near the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Sahara Avenue between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. Monday. The man, who was on foot, was taken to a local hospital, police said. His name has not been released.
