The 20 percent to 25 percent of Clinton supporters claiming they will not vote for the Democratic presidential nominee have got to get over it and, come November, vote for Barack Obama. Facts are that the lack of support for Title X (family planning program) represents an extreme example of the Bush administration’s “let them rot on the vine” strategy for funding federal programs it disdains.
John McCain gives no indication he would fund these groundbreaking programs any differently. The Hillary holdouts have to ask themselves who is really more likely to have a positive effect on public policy beneficial to the nation’s girls and women, Obama or McCain.
