flashpoint:

Reid and John McCain’s temperament

Sen. Harry Reid, the former boxer, may not even have gloves anymore. But he took them off Wednesday on “Face to Face” when I asked him about John McCain’s temperament. Reid went off — again — on the Arizona senator, going so far as to say GOP senators privately had told him they would not vote for McCain. Sounds farfetched, but why would Reid say it if it isn’t so? He also did not quarrel with my characterization of his comments — that he was implying McCain would be dangerous if he became president. “You said it but I will not correct you,” he said. And he reiterated that a moment later. I am sure Joe Biden is up to the job, as his speech showed. But if Barack Obama needs an attack dog, Reid was reporting for duty in Denver.
