First and foremost I would like to congratulate Sen. Harry Reid, Clark County Commissioner Rory Reid (who was Sen. Hillary Clinton’s state campaign chairman) and all the others who helped to get more than 117,000 participants involved in the Nevada Democratic presidential caucus. When this many people become involved in any happening, especially a first-time affair, some mistakes are expected, but this occasion proved to be a howling success.
I was also amazed at the number of Republicans who admitted they were changing their party registration to Democratic so they could vote for Sen. Barack Obama. Then it hit me: Why? And the answer that comes to mind was they felt Sen. Clinton would be harder to beat at the polls in November. I hope the scheme of the Republicans does not work to their advantage.
