Republicans couldn’t resist

You knew the Republicans couldn’t resist this one. A recent fundraising solicitation for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee contained this line about GOP Sen. Mitch McConnell: “It’s bad news for any sitting senator when in-state newspapers are calling you out for obstructing progress.” The Republican National Committee, handed this gift, immediately sent out a piece that said: “Question for the DSCC Does the same standard apply to your party leader in the U.S. Senate?” Attached to the e-mail was a copy of an editorial that could have been written by the RNC but was published in the Las Vegas Review-Journal a few days ago attacking Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for obstructing progress. Now wasn’t that convenient?
