Letter to the editor:

We don’t need a man in the White House

I have long held the belief that what this country sincerely needed was a female president: no aggressive, chest-thumping male who didn’t have any of the wonderful attributes of a female.

We now have a chance to make this happen if only we don’t get scared and don’t listen to the misogynistic commentators on TV and radio.

We as a people have decided that what this country really needs is “change,” but in order to obtain that result, the only solution is to finally vote for a woman as the leader of our country. One who is capable, competent and totally willing to serve.

We truly do not need any more testosterone-laden gentlemen such as George W. Bush running off at the mouth with no thought of the consequences, nor do we need an apprentice who has been regarded as our next “messiah” (oh my gosh, what are people thinking to say something like that?) or who stated in a previous debate that he would not actually be running the government he would have “good people” for that.

Yes, I am a woman and, yes, I will vote for Hillary Clinton because she is a capable woman with a lot of experience and, yes, I believe that this truly is the right thing to do.
