I appreciate the Las Vegas Sun’s helpful editorials on health issues, especially Monday’s “Can’t touch this” editorial, which carried the subheadline “The race to create a sanitary public bathroom door handle is on really.”
It is a subject close to my heart. (I’m very germ-conscious.) I debate the “wash your hands” principle with friends. Some of them say they build up their immunities with bad germs.
I also appreciated a Monday letter to the editor from Paul Seidman headlined “Congressional elections are important too.” A couple of months ago I heard the words “Well, the Democrats haven’t done anything in Congress either” come out of my mouth. With some thought I realized that Democrats would need to persuade a lot of Republicans to get a two-thirds vote to override a veto.
