Letter to the editor:

Conservative think tanks benefit wealthy

During a recent visit to Las Vegas I read a Feb. 4 letter by Art Rader, who said there are no liberal think tanks because “liberal” and “think tank” are contradictory terms.

Perhaps Mr. Rader should do a little investigating: He would find out that conservative think tanks originated about three decades ago to offset the alleged liberal bias in America’s universities. These think tanks are generally nothing more than propaganda mills financed by millionaires to convince the public that policies that benefit the very wealthy are good for those of us who have to work for a living.

Take one example: Most of the “information” released by those denying global warming is from organizations financed by energy companies.

Nice of these millionaires to look out for us, some people may think, but of course they are looking out only for themselves. If some of you believe their propaganda, you have been hoodwinked. Look up and see who is pulling the strings, puppets, before you naively accept the misinformation being spread across this great land of ours by these propaganda mills.
