Democrats, close ranks or suffer

This letter is a plea and a wake-up call to all of the Hillary Clinton supporters who are taking a stand against Barack Obama. This is totally mind-boggling. Stop acting like spoiled little children who did not get their way. Start thinking about what is good for our country.

Whom are you hurting? Certainly not John McCain. It is the wish of Clinton, who has endorsed Obama, for Americans to come together and bring much-needed change to the White House.

Realize that by supporting McCain you are supporting four more years of the Bush doctrine, which McCain has initiated by implying that Obama is a flip-flopper (a label the GOP succeeded in pinning on John Kerry). If McCain wants to see a flip-flopper, all he has to do is look in the mirror.

I cannot comprehend four more years of the current disastrous, contemptible and integrity-lacking administration. It is obvious we need change, and the Democratic Party must come together to implement it.

I have been and always will be a supporter of Hillary Clinton. But first and foremost, I am a Democrat and I will listen to her.

Obama should be given the opportunity to prove that he can and will bring this wonderful country of ours together, something that, unfortunately, was lost the past seven years. Therefore, I have gone from “Nobama” to “Gobama.”
