flashpoint:

It’s easy being green

Nevada’s Democrats believe that you don’t have to go purple before you turn blue, but you do have to be green. The state’s national convention delegation is going green this year, which must be a relief to the highest-ranking Democrat in the state, Harry “No Coal No How” Reid. One of the delegates, Elliot Small, purchased carbon offsets for the Nevada folks to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide from the trip to Denver. Nevada becomes the third state in the country to send a green delegation to Denver, thanks to Small’s generosity. I suppose that’s one way to go green. But wouldn’t it have been more fun for the delegates to ride their bicycles instead? Oh, they would have to leave a little early. But imagine the camaraderie that would create!
