A woman trying to walk across a busy west Las Vegas street early this morning was injured when she was struck by a mini-van, Metro Police reported today.
Caihong Guan, 45, Las Vegas, was in critical condition at the University Medical Center's trauma ward, police said.
The collision occurred about 12:13 a.m. on Charleston Boulevard, west of Upland Boulevard.
Police said Guan was walking north across Charleston outside of a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan traveling west. The van was driven by Ernest Alcaraz, 57, Las Vegas, who was not injured.
Police said the collision remains under investigation.
