Dragnet needed for uninsured motorists

Just wondering how much longer our state law enforcement agencies are going to tolerate being embarrassed by the continual radio announcements informing us that one in every six vehicles on our roads is not properly insured.

I’m all for our law enforcement agencies’ setting up some “stings” and immediately impounding any vehicle that does not carry proper and verifiable proof of coverage as well as, of course, proper registration. Appropriate fines might also help to alleviate tax increases on us law-abiding citizens.
