Now that Regent Steve Sisolak is involved in a full-on legal effort to oust Commissioner Bruce Woodbury, with all the attendant political fallout, and Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto is going to Winnemucca to try to piggyback onto a court case there, we may actually see a resolution of the term limits insanity sooner rather than later. Sisolak may get his case to the Supreme Court, thanks to his retaining attorney Dominic Gentile, who has argued a case or two in Carson City, not to mention in D.C. And Masto seems adamant about resolving this issue as quickly as possible so candidates are not left hanging and elected officials are not challenged after the November balloting. Now that is the real nightmare scenario.
