Some good news in recent poll numbers for President Bush.
You may have heard about a Harris Poll released under the headline: “America’s Sour Mood: Ratings of Bush, Cheney, Rice and Congress Sink to Worst Levels Ever.” Three-quarters of Americans don’t think Bush is doing a good job. Only 5 percent say he is doing an excellent job and 19 percent say he is doing a good job. (To be fair, Congress was roundly trashed by the public.) So what can possibly be the good news for Bush? Someone ought to tell him about Jim Gibbons, whom that Mason-Dixon poll showed with nearly 80 percent unfavorables and only a 3 percent excellent rating. At least you’re not the lowest, Mr. President.
