In my dream I’m standing in a beautifully tended lawn, and I’m holding a leash. When I look down I’m startled to see a magnificent golden cat, with tiger stripes, at the end of the leash. I guess I expected a dog. So I release the cat, and then a white hunting dog with three black spots comes to me, and I put him on the leash. We start heading toward the bushes to hunt.

Lauri: That magnificent cat is your ability to go out on the prowl and get what you want in life. Have you recently unleashed this side of yourself rather than holding yourself back? The dog represents someone or something you have loyalty toward. Is there a relationship in your life? The three black spots are significant, as they symbolize three negative issues. You go hunting at the end because there is something you want to bring into your life right now.

Catherine replies: You’re right. I have decided to just let me be me and remove the self-imposed reins I’d put on to make others comfortable. The three spots represent events on three occasions when I was badly traumatized in my last job. The last event resulted in a nervous breakdown. I left that place in 2007 after my recovery. I didn’t realize how much it had marked me. I intend to keep the faith in myself! It’s great to have you out there, Lauri!
