Police identify teen fatally shot during party

A 19-year-old who was fatally shot in the chest at a party at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday has been identified as Nester Joao Lee of Las Vegas, the Clark County coroner's office said today.

Metro Police found the man in the front of a residence in the 8300 block of Spring Arts Avenue. He was taken to MountainView Hospital, where he died in the emergency room.

After police found the man at the residence, they learned that five people who had also been shot had gone to an Albertson's store at Cheyenne Avenue and Cimarron Road. None had life-threatening injuries, police said.

The five people were taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit.

Police learned that a party was underway on Spring Arts and a fight had developed after an argument. Police have no description of the suspects involved in the shooting.
