Four SouthwestUSA executives promoted

Jeff Coulson was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of SouthwestUSA Corp. Mary Beth Pierce was named vice president and corporate secretary.

Patrick Wisman of Henderson was promoted to serve as president, chief executive and vice chairman of the company. He also serves as the president, chief executive and vice chairman of SouthwestUSA Bank.

County Commissioner Bruce Woodbury of Boulder City was named chairman of SouthwestUSA Bank. He was also recently promoted to chairman of SouthwestUSA Corp. and will hold both positions concurrently. In addition to being a member of the Clark County Commission, Woodbury is chairman of the Regional Transportation Commission.

Photo studio wins local business award

Mikel's Fine Art Photography has been selected for the 2008 Best of Henderson Award in the Portrait Photographers category by the U.S. Local Business Association.

The group's "Best of Local Business" award program recognizes outstanding local businesses that enhance the positive image of small businesses through service to their customers and community.

Mikel has lived in Henderson for over 40 years.

Henderson Chamber to host mixer

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 25 at Vita Bella by Toll Brothers' Island Escape, 17 Via di Vita, near Montelago Boulevard in Lake Las Vegas.

Consignment store opens in Henderson

Colleen's Classic Consignment has opened a new store at Warm Springs and Marks Street in the Sears Shopping Center.

Colleen Aiken opened her first store in Las Vegas in 1995. She now has two stores offering new furniture below wholesale and gently used furniture. The other store is at 3071 N. Rainbow.

Bank of George breaks ground

The Bank of George has begun building its new Henderson Regional Branch at St. Rose Parkway and Seven Hills Drive. The branch is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in April.

Bank of George is a Nevada community commercial bank established in 2007. The bank's name pays homage to George Washington.
