Man arrested for attempted sexual assault

Metro Police today arrested a 41-year-old man on charges that included one count of attempted sexual assault of a victim under 14 years old and two counts of open and gross lewdness with a minor.

The charges against Luis Castro, owner of a local Tae Kwon Do school located in northeastern Las Vegas, stem from an incident that occurred during the summer of 2007, police said. He is also involved in other youth organizations.

Metro Police in the sexual assault section urge other victims or anyone with knowledge of sexual misconduct involving Castro to contact the sexual assault section. Detective Craig Jex is lead investigator for the case. Information can be left at 828-3421.
