flashpoint:

Special interests are quite humorless

Some special interests are quite humorless — they are so serious about their interest and how special it is, it is difficult to see any time for hilarity. But not the teachers union. The folks over at the Nevada State Education Association could headline at any Strip resort. Consider this line near the beginning of a news release this week announcing its shocking endorsement of state Sen. Dina Titus, the Democratic contender in CD3. “After a thorough member-driven process, the NSEA Board of Directors voted to endorse Titus.” Member-driven! That is classic. Eat your heart out, Larry David. That stuff is brilliant. As if Rep. Jon Porter ever had a chance to secure the nod. Stop. Please. I’m crying I’m laughing so hard.
