In response to your article on reducing the speed limit on Anthem Parkway, I do not believe that a reduction is the answer. The Sun City Anthem Security Patrol should take a look at the average speed along this road, give them radar guns for one 12-hour period to record the average speed of automobiles, and I assure you that it will be well above the 45 mile-an-hour limit. I would estimate that the average speed is somewhere in the neighborhood of 55 to 60 miles an hour. How about an increase in police patrols to ticket the speeders? Maybe a saturation of some sort for a period of time will discourage the road racing on Anthem Parkway.
