A 24-year-old woman who was stabbed in the neck and died in the reception area of Bally's hotel and casino has been identified as Talesha Jamerson, with an unknown address, the Clark County coroner's office said today.

Metro Police have arrested 23-year-old Latrovia Reed of Milwaukee as a suspect in the fatal stabbing, which occurred at about 6 a.m. Friday.

Reed is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon and soliciting prostitution, police said.

Reed and two other women were arguing near the registration desk at Bally's when the argument escalated, police said. When officers arrived at the Las Vegas Strip resort, they discovered a woman had been stabbed in the neck. Hotel staff were tending to her.

She was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she died of her injuries, police said.

The suspect had fled the resort, but Metro detectives took her into custody when she surrendered, police said.
