More thunderstorms are possible in the afternoons and evenings for the Las Vegas Valley through Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.
Monday's downpours throughout the valley brought intense, localized rainfall with street flooding, lightning and thunder.
Thunderstorms rumbled in the overnight hours near Kingman, Ariz., and from Mount Potosi southwest of Las Vegas north along the western side of the Spring Mountains, the weather service said.
The triple digit heat will gave way this week to normal daytime temperatures in the upper 90s. Lows will linger in the mid 70s.
After Thursday the valley will become drier and hotter with clear skies and temperatures climbing near 100 degrees for the weekend.
