A slight chance of thunderstorms -- especially in the mountains surrounding the Las Vegas Valley -- lingers through today and Thursday before drier air brings more sunshine for the weekend.
The National Weather Service said thunderstorms and showers continued throughout the night northwest of the valley in Lincoln County.
A single thunderhead popped up over Mount Charleston on Tuesday afternoon, but didn't reach the valley as the storms did on Monday.
Highs will once again hover in the mid-90s with weekend temperatures approaching 100 degrees as summer continues to cling to Southern Nevada.
