A 32-year-old Las Vegas man died about 12:46 p.m. Thursday while under a car that fell off jack stands, Metro Police said.
The 1995 Honda Civic was parked on a dirt shoulder of Walnut Street north of Lake Mead Boulevard on several jack stands, police said.
The owner was under the front of the Honda, repairing the auto when it fell on him.
The owner was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, police said.
The identity of the man has not been released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
