There’s this blogger who says it’s foolish to try to impute logical thought processes to Gov. Jim Gibbons. Although I see his point, I must ask: What was he thinking? Why would Gibbons demand that persons unknown apologize to him after an ethics panel declined to proceed against him? I know it’s easy to use an O.J. analogy, especially because he is bivouacking here, but does Simpson think the Goldmans owe him an apology because he was found “not guilty”? Whether or not Gibbons did anything wrong on that rural tax break, a man who has dissembled to the electorate and has lived by a Gaffe-A-Day Calendar can’t say with a straight face that he thinks anyone owes him an apology. Methinks he owes a few first.
