A 26-year-old Henderson man was killed in a one-car accident early this morning in the east lanes of Desert Inn Road at Highland Drive, according to Metro police.
The man has not yet been identified, pending notification of relatives, police said.
Officers said the crash occurred about 2:47 a.m. when the man's 2007 Honda Accord was traveling east on Desert Inn Road, then left the roadway going south. The vehicle drove over a raised traffic control median and struck a concrete barrier, police said.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Officers said the collision remains under investigation. This is the 90th traffic fatality this year in Metro police's jurisdiction.
