Henderson man killed in one-car crash identified

The 26-year-old Henderson man who was killed in a one-car crash early Monday morning on Desert Inn Road at Highland Drive has been identified as Jun Kyu Chun, the Clark County coroner's office said.

Metro Police said the crash occurred about 2:47 a.m. Monday when the man's 2007 Honda Accord was traveling east on Desert Inn Road, then left the roadway going south. The car drove over a raised traffic control median and struck a concrete barrier, police said.

Chun, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency paramedics, police said. This is the 90th traffic fatality this year in Metro police's jurisdiction.

Chun died of blunt force trauma of the head as a result of the crash, the coroner's office said.
