Henderson police investigate shooting death

Police are asking for the public's help in finding out who shot a 23-year-old man who was found this morning, in a Henderson home, authorities said this afternoon.

Henderson Police said they were called about about 10:30 a.m. to a home in the 1600 block of Coyote Run, near Arroyo Grande Boulevard and American Pacific Drive after the man was found inside the house by the homeowners. Police said the homeowners were not home at the time of the shooting.

The man was taken to St. Rose Hospital - Siena Campus, where he later died, police said.

The man did not live at the house and police detectives are still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, officers said. No one is in custody in connection with the slaying, police said.

The name of the man will be released by the Clark County coroner's office once he has been identified and his family is notified.
