The stock market is in the toilet. Home prices are falling each month. Foreclosures are at the highest level since the Great Depression.
The nation has the highest deficit ever and we are in a war instigated by more deceit and incompetence than this country has ever seen. The unemployment rate keeps rising, with no end in sight, and banks and other financial institutions are failing all over the country.
Yet almost 50 percent of the voters want to vote for an elderly man with recurrent cancer and a woman whose thinking is so far to the radical right it makes Vice President Dick Cheney look like a Boy Scout.
If Barack Obama were white and did not have a “funny” name, the outcome of the election would not even be in doubt. I just don’t understand the Republican mind; what are they thinking?
