Oh, we forgot to tell you about Loux meeting?

The Commission on Nuclear Projects meeting to decide the fate of Bob Loux has been rescheduled to Monday.

The state Nuclear Projects Agency, which Loux heads, failed to give public notice of the commission’s Tuesday meeting three business days beforehand as required.

Loux typically prepares the agendas. But former Sen. Richard Bryan, the commission’s chairman, said he’d asked the attorney general’s office to prepare the agenda because it would have been improper for Loux to do so given it included a personnel item involving Loux.

Loux has faced calls for his resignation from Gov. Jim Gibbons and other state leaders because he improperly gave himself and his staff pay raises over at least four years.

“The governor stands by his call for Mr. Loux to resign,” Gibbons spokesman Ben Kieckhefer said last week. “And if he can’t notice public meetings on time, that’s just another example why.”
