Body found in Henderson desert identified

A body found Sept. 10 by a hiker in a desert area of Henderson has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office as 57-year-old Arnold Lewis Knight.

The death was ruled an accident caused by environmental heat stress.

Police said the body was discovered near Horizon Ridge and Paseo Verde parkways at an elevation of roughly 2,400 feet up the side of a mountain. The spot was inaccessible to vehicles, police said.
