This is a response to letter writer Dan Finnegan who said Wednesday that John McCain supporters are smart to vote for him.
But we are in a financial crisis that was made worse by McCain and others who voted to remove government safeguards that would have protected us. Who has voted 90 percent of the time on the side of President Bush, a president who will go down in history as one of the worst, and who has agreed with the ill-advised war in Iraq?
To those nearly 50 percent of voters who support McCain, I say that if you believe all this has benefited America, smart move.
