Isolated storms in Las Vegas forecast

If you're planning to be outside today, you might bring along an umbrella — the National Weather Service says there's a 20 percent chance of rain for the Las Vegas Valley.

The weather service says today's skies will be partly cloudy, with the highs reaching into the upper 90s and a chance for isolated thunderstorms.

This morning's temperatures were in the upper 70s and the humidity levels were about 25 percent.

The weather service says a somewhat moist southeast flow of air will bring a chance of thunderstorms to mainly Mohave, Clark and Lincoln counties today and tonight.

Locally gusty winds and brief heavy rain is possible with the thunderstorms, the weather service said.
