A 46-year-old man suffered critical injuries early Saturday morning when he was struck by a car while crossing a busy Las Vegas street.
Scott Jensen, Las Vegas, was transported to University Medical Center's trauma unit and is in critical condition, according to Metro police.
The accident occurred at 12:31 a.m. near the intersection of Charleston Boulevard east of Nellis Boulevard, police said.
A 2001 Honda Accord being driven by Jesse Bewley, 25, Las Vegas, was traveling west on Charleston east of Nellis when Jensen walked into its path, police said. Jensen, who wasn't in a crosswalk, was struck by the front of the vehicle, police said.
The accident is under investigation, police said.
