More isolated thunderstorms in sight Sunday

As temperatures remain above normal in the mid to high 90s in the Las Vegas Valley, there's enough moisture in the air to kick up isolated scattered thunderstorms today, most of them in the mountains.

About 9 p.m. Saturday, a few rumbles of thunder developed over the southeastern valley as storm clouds moved northwest, leaving a trace of rain behind.

The air will continue to remain moist with another chance of isolated thunderstorms on Monday, but then the valley begins to dry out.

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, drier air and cooler temperatures are on tap as our air begins to feel more like autumn instead of sizzling summer.
