Boulder City deaths

Grant Ewers

Grant T. Ewers, 89, died March 26 in Boulder City.

The resident of 33 years was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Halbrite, Saskatchewan, Canada. He lived in San Jose, Calif., for 18 years before moving to Boulder City and was a retired aerospace manager for Lockheed.

He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps stationed in Labrador, Quebec and Las Vegas.

He belonged to the Boulder City Gem Club, Monrovia Gem Club and Las Vegas Boat and Ski Club.

He is survived by his son, Scott Ewers and his wife, Brenda, of Boulder City; daughter Vicki Miller and her husband, Bart, of Roseville, Calif.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette.

Services were private.

Boulder City Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Raymond Hauserman

Ramond Paul Hauserman, 49, died March 31 in Henderson. He attended the Christian Center in Boulder City.

The lifetime Southern Nevada resident was born Oct. 26. He was a loading operator with Southern Nevada Paving.

He was a veteran of the Army.

Hauserman is survived by his wife, Tricia of Henderson; son, Paul Hauserman of Louisville, Ky.; son, Jeff Hauserman of Henderson; mother, Mary Jo Hauserman of Oregon, and grandparent, Cecil Holt of Henderson.

Arrangements are pending.

Edgar R. Shuman

Edgar R. Shuman, 77, of Boulder City passed away March 28 in Boulder City. He was born Nov. 25, 1931, in Philadelphia to Clarence and Minnie Shuman.

Ed worked as a casino executive for the Hilton Corp. until his retirement. He had lived in Boulder City for 51 years and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Ed is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Shuman; son, Ed Shuman Jr., and his wife, Karen; daughter, Candy Ward and her husband, John; son, Michael Shuman; daughter, Susan Ercanbrack; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. April 4 under the pavilion at the Boulder City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nevada Cancer Institute, 1 Breakthrough Way, Las Vegas, NV 89135. Boulder City Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.
