A Boulder City woman has been charged with reckless driving, aggressive driving and three other misdemeanor counts in connection with a May 18 crash on U.S. 93.

A warrant has been issued for Ashley Nicole Lombardi, 28. She is scheduled to be arraigned on the five charges Aug. 25 in Boulder City Municipal Court.

In addition to reckless and aggressive driving, Lombardi has been charged with two counts of battery and failure to maintain a travel lane.

Police, who characterized the crash as the result of road rage, said just before 11 a.m. May 18, Ward Laughlin, 66, of Boulder City, was driving a gold Chevrolet Impala going north on U.S. 93 toward Railroad Pass and passed the red Honda CRV being driven by Lombardi near the overpass for U.S. 95.

The Honda maneuvered around the Impala, then swerved at it, clipping it, Boulder City police said. Both vehicles went into the median.

Laughlin and his wife, Kathleen, and Lombardi were all treated and released at Las Vegas hospitals, police said.

Attempts to reach Lombardi were not successful.
