This past weekend had no shortage or rockers, rappers or action.

Things got started on Friday as Holly Madison, Kim Kardashian and Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown helped open the first Las Vegas location of Pink's Hot Dogs at Planet Hollywood.

Kardashian didn’t stick around long, though: She high-tailed it over to the Palms immediately after she walked Pink's pink carpet. Once at the Maloof resort she joined Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin and watched Antin's pet project, Matt Goss, perform.

Kardashian literally got into the act at the end of the show and joined Goss up onstage as he sang “St. James.”

John Lovitz was also in the so-called “Gossy Room” – that’s the Palms showroom, for you non Goss-fans – on Friday.

Also on Friday, Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey were spotted at the Palazzo as they enjoyed a few drinks in the lounge at Dos Caminos. The recently-reunited couple appeared to be in no rush as they lingered for several hours, snacking on asada tacos.

The pair resurfaced on Saturday, first over dinner at N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms, then at Luxor, where they joined former "That '70s Show" star Wilmer Valderrama at LAX.

Lacey Chabert's 27th Birthday @ Tabu

Actress Lacey Chabert was also in town last weekend, and celebrated her 27th birthday on Friday at Tabu. She and hour friends followed up on Saturday with the 9:30 p.m. performance of Criss Angel's Cirque du Soleil show, "Believe."

San Antonio Spurs player Tim Duncan and Rain resident DJ Paul Oakenfold took in a Cirque show on Saturday, too: Both went to see "Zumanity."

Meanwhile, funnyman Ron White was at the Mirage, where he took his “blue collar” stand-up comedy to the Terry Fator Theatre.

Further south on the Strip, Jermaine Dupri had dinner in the private dining room at Strip House before hosting at Privé, and country heartthrob Jason Aldean performed at Mandalay Bay Beach.

Chazz Palminteri and Kid Rock were both spotted at the Venetian on Friday, where they caught David Spade's stand-up routine.

While they dined separately, Spade and Palminteri both had pre-show dinners at Tao. While the comedian reportedly ordered kung pao chicken, vegetable fried rice and vegetable rolls; the actor opted for the chicken satay, buddha chicken and crispy rice.

Palminteri was spotted upstairs at the nightclub later that night, where he and some friends sipped Baileys on the rocks at a table in the club's see-and-be-seen VIP "moat" area.

Former NBA legend Charles Barkley and former MLB star Frank Thomas were also at Tao on Friday . The retired sportsmen hung out at a VIP table near the dance floor, where Barkley drank Grey Goose and cranberry juice while Thomas went a somewhat more refined route, and stuck with Far Niente Chardonnay.

Another retiree, NBA all-star Charles Oakley, was living it up on Friday, and was at the Bellagio with family and friends. The former basketball player and his party was said to have had a laidback dinner at Fix Restaurant.

Meanwhile, three bands were at the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday night: Five Finger Death Punch, Otherwise, and The Bravery. The foremost threw themselves a CD release party at Wasted Space, were the middle band played, while the latter took to the stage under the stars as the 2009 Friday Night Live poolside concert series came to a close.

Sean "P.Diddy" Combs hosts at Wet Republic in MGM Grand.

Saturday began with another poolside party, but things were slightly different when Sean "Diddy" Combs hosted at Wet Republic.

Joining Diddy in his cabana were actor/singer Tyrese Gibson, boxer Floyd Mayweather, rapper Mase, reality TV personality/music producer Ray J, Keenan Ivory, and Marlon, Shawn and Damon Wayans.

Combs hosted a private dinner at Tao later that night, where Gibson joined him, along with his "Transformers" director Michael Bay.

The group ordered a range of menu items, including kung pao chicken, kobe ribeye, and lobster wontons. Beverage-wise, the group sipped glasses of riesling and chardonnay, as well as rounds of -- you guessed it -- Combs' own, Ciroc vodka cocktails.

The Wayans brothers also ate at Tao on Saturday, but not as part of Diddy's dinner.

Fiancées Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin were there, too. The "True Blood" stars enjoyed sashimi, sushi, dumplings and lobster wontons on the eve of Moyer's Emmy Awards presentation.

The Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, crossed state lines this weekend when he brought his son to Las Vegas to celebrate his 16th birthday. The first family of California raced go-karts at Pole Position on Saturday afternoon, then had dinner at Strip House at Planet Hollywood later that night.

Holly Madison @ Sugar Factory

One of Las Vegas’ sweetest showgirls, Holly Madison, sweetened things up earlier that night with an in-store appearance at the Sugar Factory. The lollipop-loving blonde was at the Mirage’s newest candy store chatted with fans and posed for pictures from 5 until 6:30 p.m., then headed back to PH to prepare for the night’s “Peepshow” double feature.

German-born duo Siegfried and Roy were at Hofbräuhaus on Saturday night to help signal the start of Oktoberfest by tapping the festival’s first keg.

The appearance marked the fifth time the tiger-loving pair opened Oktoberfest at the authentic German ale house.

Saturday’s schedule continued at MGM Grand, where famed fighter Floyd Mayweather put his undefeated record on the line (and won) against five-time world champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

The Kardashian clam was out in full force on fight night, including Khloe Kardashian and her rumored fiancé, Lamar Odom.

Though Mayweather was fined $600,000 for being two pounds over the 142-pound limit, he didn't seem too concerned as he celebrated his victory at Studio 54.

Sean "Diddy" Combs, Ray J, and Tyrese Gibson -- who sang the national anthem at the fight -- joined Mayweather at the club for the post-fight victory celebration.

Meanwhile, hometown rockers The Killers were across the street at Mandalay Bay, as their current tour brought them back to town. The B52s were at the resort on Saturday night, too, and played the House of Blues, while another throwback act, Lynyrd Skynyrd, played out at Red Rock.

Joe Elliott of Def Leppard made a guest appearance at the Las Vegas Hilton on Saturday, where he joined Cheap Trick onstage for "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "All You Need is Love." Elliot later hung out backstage after the Beatles-inspired performance.

Cheap Trick band members had dinner across town on Saturday, at Simon at Palms Place. The musicians reportedly sampled sushi and chef Kerry Simon's special pot roast as part of their evening meal.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were also at the Palms on Saturday, where they took to the stage at the Pearl. They hosted a party at Ghostbar after the show, and had dinner overlooking the Strip, on the terrace at Nove Italiano, before they went onstage.

The group sampled a range of appetizers, including mozzarella pizza, calamari, and burrata and arugula salad, then shared linguine and a panzanella salad for their main course.

Jet at the Mirage saw a collection of comedians on Saturday, as David Spade, Nick Swardson and Pete Giovine (of "Reno 911" fame) hung out in the VIP.

Kid Cudi at Tao

Kid Cudi was in town this weekend, too, and celebrated his new record with a CD release party at Tao. The rising "Day 'n Night" star had dinner at the main floor bistro before going up to the club afterward, where he performed a handful of songs for the near-capacity crowd.

Amidst the mass of partiers was reality TV personality / actor Stephen Colletti and actor Oliver Hudson, who spent the better part of the day on the roof in a VIP cabana at Tao Beach.

The two headed next door, to Lavo, after Cudi's performance but fellow Tao partiers Boston Celtic Paul Pierce, NFL free agent Ty Law, Miami Heat player Jermaine O’Neal, and the seemingly tireless Chazz Palminteri remained at the Venetian.

While Palminteri did head to the Palazzo later in the night, it wasn't to go to Lavo. Instead, he decided to finish off his night at First Food and Bar, where he enjoyed a late night / early morning snack at 4 a.m.

The party-hardy actor was back at the Palazzo on Sunday, too, and checked out the lounge-side scene at Lavo.

Mary Wilson, an original member of The Supremes, performs with Human Nature at the Imperial Palace, Sept. 19, 2009.

One of the original members of The Supremes, Mary Wilson, was in Las Vegas this weekend and used the opportunity to show an unsuspecting audience that she still has what it takes. The diva put in a surprise appearance at Imperial Palace on Saturday alongside Australian quartette Human Nature.

Meanwhile, rocker Jeremy Dawson spent Saturday night at the Bellagio without his Shiny Toy Guns counterparts. Still, that didn’t stop him from performing a live set at The Bank: Dawson made his way to the DJ booth and proceeded to serve up a mix of mash-ups for the Saturday night crowd.

Also at The Bank that night were Ty Law of the New England Patriots and Greg Wesley and Patrick Surtain of the Kansas City Chiefs.

As Dawson did his thing at The Bank, Samantha Ronson was across Las Vegas Boulevard, at Planet Hollywood, manning (or, should we say, womaning?) the turntables at Privé. Keeping with the standard Privé pre-show tradition, the popular DJ had dinner at Strip House before her set.

Kid Rock at the Pearl

Kid Rock had what proved to be a busy weekend in Vegas. He followed up Thursday night’s show at The Pearl with a second appearance at Rain on Friday, then a second full-length concert at the Hard Rock on Saturday.

He had supper with Palms owner George Maloof at N9NE Steakhouse on Friday, when he and the mogul sat in the main dining room with eight others. While the Son of Detroit enjoyed high-end menu items -- sashimi and filet mignon -- he reportedly stayed true to his redneck roots and sipped beer throughout the meal.

After dinner Rock’s entourage expanded to include 30 as the frontman headed to Rain to party in the VIP. DJ Jazzy Jeff took to the booth at midnight and, after a few hours of mash-ups, Rock surprised clubgoers with an impromptu ,15-minute performance.

Unfortunately for fans, his second full-length show was closed to the public: Jim Beam rented The Joint on Saturday night and they were the ones who determined the 1,500-person guest list.

Those hoping to brush shoulders with Rock at the Hard Rock were in luck, though, as the frontman partied at Wasted Space after his show. The club was packed with partiers following the concert and, in addition to Rock, rapper Too Short and Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul also joined the fun.

Scott Ian from Anthrax was at the Hard Rock the following day, and had dinner at Rare 120. Joining the metal man at the table was his wife, singer Pearl and Tera Patrick.
