Sue Lowden pulls out of Reno candidate forum

Sue Lowden was a no show at a Reno forum for Republican U.S. Senate candidates.

Organizers of the Saturday event say Lowden's campaign notified them shortly before the 3 p.m. scheduled panel that she would not be attending.

They referred questions to her campaign, which did not immediately respond to calls or e-mails.

The forum went on with GOP contenders Danny Tarkanian, Sharron Angle, Chad Christensen and Bill Parsons.

The winner of the June 8 primary will take on Democratic U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in November.
