UFC announces Georges St. Pierre will coach on TUF 12

St. Pierre to coach opposite of Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley winner

The UFC has announced its coaches for the 12th season of its reality show, "The Ultimate Fighter."

Well, it announced one of them anyway.

Current welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre will serve as one coach on the upcoming season of "TUF," which goes into production this June. He’ll coach against the winner of Saturday’s welterweight fight between Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley.

It will be St. Pierre’s second appearance on the show. He took on the role of a guest trainer during the fourth season of the series.

UFC president Dana White announced Thursday that the winner of the co-main event fight between Koscheck and Daley would also receive the next title shot in the 170-pound division. That fight will now take place following the conclusion of the 12th season on Spike TV.

Koscheck has never coached on "TUF" but fought his way into the organization in the first season of the series in 2005. Should Daley win, his appearance on the 12th season would be his first.

The newest season will feature only lightweight fighters and will debut Sept. 15.
