Overnight blaze damages Henderson home

Fire damages home

Henderson firefighters said this morning they are investigating the cause of an overnight fire that gutted a two-story home a few blocks west of the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Grand Hills Drive.

Firefighters said no one was injured in the blaze, which caused about $400,000 in damage to the home at 2845 Bellini Dr. The residents were not home at the time of the incident, firefighters said.

Neighbors saw thick black smoke coming from the front door of the residence about 11:42 p.m. Friday and called 911, firefighters said.

The first fire department unit arrived in about six minutes to find a flames on the first floor of the home, firefighters said. Firefighters said they extinguished the blaze in about 10 minutes.

Neighbors told firefighters they did not have any contact information about the residents, so firefighters said they didn't know how many people would be displaced.
