Shed fire
A burning shed in North Las Vegas created a column of black smoke visible across the valley Wednesday afternoon.
North Las Vegas Fire Capt. Cedric Williams said the fire at 3608 Thomas Ave. was out less than 30 minutes after the call came to the department at 1 p.m.
The fire was limited to the shed and didn't spread to other buildings, Williams said.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause is under investigation.
