Carrie and Co. are rolling into theaters Thursday, and as the yards of couture start draping their way across screens nationwide, Las Vegans are getting in the spirit of the sequel at a lineup of Sex and the City 2 premiere parties. Here are a few places you can get in on the celebration:
Cosmos, Candy & Couture at the Palms features a pre-screening party at the pool Wednesday with complimentary cosmos, a raffle (keep your fingers crossed for the $1,000 Manolo Blahnik gift certificate) and a pink carpet with drag-queen incarnations of the fabulous four. The party benefits After-School All-Stars and the Public Education Foundation, with tickets running $100 for the “City Girl” or $150 for the “Socialite,” which includes extra raffle tickets, VIP movie seating and entrance into another party after the credits roll.
SATC 2 also will be invading the Mirage this week, where Rhumbar will be giving away 140 pairs of tickets at its weekly Bubble Wednesday party, as well as offering a free glass of Moet on Thursday to anyone with a ticket stub from the stylish premiere.
Blue Martini will offer some fashion inspiration Friday with a show inspired by Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte’s looks and featuring clothes from New York & Co. and Guess by Marciano from 7-11 p.m. Also, ladies with ticket stubs from the film will receive a one-hour open martini bar and the first 100 will get goodie bags packed with freebies.
If you’d rather party in the comfort of your own home (and perhaps sans stilettos), Skyy Vodka has released a special commemorative Sex and the City 2 bottle designed by Patricia Field. Pick one up, mix a pitcher of something sassy and feel the love.
